Why This Resource Exists
Texas public-records law gives people a way to seek many government-held records, but the office holding a booking photograph is not always obvious. In Presidio County, the Sheriff’s year-and-month arrest archive is the primary public booking-history path, while the jail contact route and a written Public Information Act request address current status or fields not shown in that archive. Later case outcomes belong with the appropriate court clerk, and Texas Department of Criminal Justice records cover a different, state-custody stage. We collect those official paths in one place and do not publish booking photos ourselves.
What the Site Organizes
Each page is a source map, not an official database. The focus is on the agency or court that can answer the particular record question.
- The home page explains the Sheriff archive, booking-record requests, current-custody fallback, and later court records.
- Presidio and Marfa pages identify the municipal police route and the county booking connection.
- The Most Wanted page describes the court-first warrant-check path and the Sheriff’s anonymous-tip form.
- Crime News & Mugshots identifies regional reporting while separating a story from the official booking and court records.
What We Cannot Do
We are not connected to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office, Presidio County Jail, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a court, or another public agency. We cannot release or transfer anyone, post a bond, schedule a visit, issue a record, or provide legal advice. Official offices control their own records and may change their procedures.
- We cannot confirm a person’s present custody, release, or charge status.
- We cannot decide whether a record is public, sealed, or subject to expunction.
- We cannot correct an agency file or a publisher’s listing.
- We cannot guarantee that an address, phone number, fee, or external service remains current.
Only the responsible government office can confirm a current record or custody status. An arrest entry is an accusation, and every person is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
Search Partners
Some pages include a search box supplied by an outside provider. That provider sets its own results, terms, and pricing. If a visitor chooses a paid service through one of those tools, we may receive a referral fee that helps support this free reference site. We do not control a partner’s data, prices, or search results.
